The Apartment

While we weren’t musing over shopping carts this weekend, we took a trip down to Ulm to the local IKEA.  Lauren has had a little bit of trouble locating things around Heidenheim to try to spruce up the apartment and make it feel a little bit like home, so we needed to bring in the big guns, the big Swedish guns.  Mainly, we wanted to focus on the living room where we spend more of our time.

After an hour or so at IKEA and some time setting up at home, our living area was transformed.

After setting up our new stuff, we spent the rest of the day trying to stay cool.  Germany hit record temperatures yesterday, reaching 100 or more, which I know is pretty equivalent to back in the U.S.  Remember, though, we have no air conditioning!  Needless to say, the rest of Saturday until it was nice enough to go outside was an “only underwear” in the apartment day.  Too much information?   😉
